CFW Continental CFW's is a very different form of CFW originating in Europe. This variety is typically more colorful with prominent black tail markings and very attractive. (Cross a Florida Fancy to anything and produce Florida Silvers) The Ragas Floridas are larger and may be split for the Phaeo combination. Laura Ragas breeds the largest Florida Fancies I have ever seen. It's her specialty, one she has worked on for years. You wont fine better and large Florida Fancies than these. Most are closed banded by Laura. RED FLANKED ZEBRA _no longer available. Red Flanked is a rare beautiful, bright combination of FF and Penguin, which lacks any buff color. I rarely produce these any longer but they are nice though usually small birds. FLORIDA SILVER(formerly Silver Isabel)$40 pair -$65/Larger Show Quality Birds A silver zebra with reddish brown lacing on the wings, quite variable in color, from dark silver to lighter shades. This bird is used to produce Florida Fancies (above) These are often large birds with attractive features. The Black Breasted Florida Silver is one of the prettiest of all Black Breasted zebras and resembles a silver Phaeo. PIED $25 per pair -no are large show birds of this type available at this time. Pied is a recessive
mutation in which the normal body color such as Grey or Fawn
is broken with This dominant mutation is still quite rare in the US, Crested Zebras have a rosette of feathers on the center-top of the head: some have a full crest, some have only a semi circle crest The concept of "crest bred" does not apply to zebra finches. Breeding crest X crest does not produce baldness in zebras. These are often available in a variety of common color such as Silver, Pied, Grey and Fawn. LIGHTBACK $40 per pair- extra Large Show Birds $50/each when available Light Backs have a dilute upper body color and all underparts, breast and vent region are white. Tail coverts have bright white markings rather than buff in both sexes. Males have distinct bright cream cheek patches and flanking making this mutation especially attractive. The black pigmented areas such as breast bar and tail are not dilute but fully black. Go to our Online-Order Form
